Rod Smith |
I’ll start with Rod Smith, an undrafted player, who signed with the New England Patriots, but was cut and picked up by the Denver Broncos in 1994. During his career in Denver Rod Smith became a two time Super Bowl Champion, first and only undrafted player to reach the milestone of (10,000) receiving yards, and the 24th in history to eclipse that figure. He has the most catches (849), receiving yards (11,389) and touchdown receptions (68) of any undrafted wide receiver in NFL history. Also Rod is only the sixth player in NFL history to have (100) receptions against at least three teams Kansas City Chiefs, San Diego Chargers, and, Oakland Raiders. Rod Smith is a two time all pro and a three time Pro Bowler.

Jimmy Smith |
Next is Jimmy Smith, as you know played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, who also had an lustrous career, Jimmy Smith is a two time All Pro, a five time Pro Bowler, and finished his career with (862) receptions, (12, 287) receiving yards, and (67) touchdowns. Jimmy also had seven straight (1,000) yard seasons which ranks third behind Jerry Rice, and Tim Brown. So with that being said do you think these two former NFL stars are first time Hall of Fame ballot locks? What do you think?
