Keeping the Big 12 Relevant: Big 12 Expansion Possibilities!

The Big 12 Conference is now down to ten teams, due to loosing the Colorado Buffalos, and the Nebraska Cornhuskers to the Pac 12 and Big Ten Conference respectively. With that being said, if the Big 12 Conference does decide to replace those teams in the future, in my opinion here are a few teams that would make good replacements.

Houston Cougars:
The Cougars are an original member of the old South West Conference, which they would have some history with Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Baylor. Houston's football team has been constant in having a winning program, and they have proved, they can hang and beat Big 12 teams. Also, geographically wise they fit.

New Mexico Lobos and the UTEP Miners, (University of Texas at El Paso)
Now these teams do fit geographically and they would allow, Oklahoma State to move to the North Division, which could possibly set up an Oklahoma State vs. Oklahoma Big 12 Championship game. Feel free to respond, and let me know who you think would be a good fit!
